PDEA nets former cop’s wife for pushing shabu in Surigao

Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested the wife of a former police officer during an entrapment operation in Surigao City.

PDEA Director General Aaron N Aquino identified the suspect as Kristine Custodio y Beleta, alias Tin, 27 years old, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Sabang, Surigao City.

Custodio is the wife of former Police Officer 2 (PO2) Ronnie Capanpan Custodio who was arrested in a buy-bust operation along Burgos Street, Barangay Washington, Surigao City on November 4, 2016.

On October 21, 2017 at around 2:00 in the afternoon, operatives of PDEA Regional Office XIII (PDEA ROXIII) under Director Joel Plaza, arrested Custodio after she sold methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to a poseur-buyer in her neighborhood in Barangay Sabang.

Confiscated during the operation were a total of 22 transparent plastic sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing more or less three grams, with an estimated street value of P15,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Custodio will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. She is presently detained at PDEA ROXIII jail facility in Libertad, Butuan City.
