The Securities and Exchange Commission- Tarlac Extension Office (SEC TEO) has secured the commitment of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA)- Tarlac Chapter to be part of the SEC Campaign Network. The agreement for this collaboration was signed between SEC TEO Director Richard R. Laus and PICPA Tarlac President, Mr. Lito F. Melegrito on November 4 at the SEC Tarlac Office in Tarlac City.
“In collaboration with the SEC-TEO, we will realize our mutual responsibility to the public in relation to the promotion of sustainable and inclusive economic growth and investor protection through establishing and sustaining a campaign network on investor education and related advocacies,” PICPA Tarlac President Mr. Melegrito said.
Meanwhile, SEC TEO Director Laus said that this partnership will further solidify the existing collaboration established by SEC-TEO with PICPA
Tarlac to collectively pursue investor education and advocacy for the investing public.
On the same occasion, PICPA Tarlac awarded a plaque of appreciation to SEC TEO for a very meaningful partnership and its invaluable support to the said professional organization in the delivery of recovery and priority programs for the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) for FY 2021-2022.
The PICPA Tarlac also expressed its full support to SEC TEO on its campaign for investor protection which will reinforce efforts to inform and educate the public on financial literacy, investor rights and responsibilities and investment scams.
