SM Malls, first 2 establishments in Olongapo to receive safety seal certification

SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown received the Safety Seal certification from Olongapo City Mayor Rolen “Len J” Paulino on July 7, 2021, the first 2 establishments to receive the recognition in Olongapo City under the Covid-19 Inter Agency Task Force Safety Seal Certification program.

“Good thing about SM is that they were the first establishments to apply for Safety Seal certification. It wasn’t hard for them to apply because they are compliant of minimum public health protocols, that’s why we’re very happy to award their safety seals today, SM City Olongapo Central has safety seal number 00001 and SM City Olongapo Downtown has safety seal number 00002, “ Mayor Len J Paulino said.

Based on Implementing guidelines, the Safety Seal Certification affirms that an establishment has been found compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government, including the adoption or integration with the StaySafe.ph in contact tracing application. The seal shall be displayed conspicuously at all entrance points according to prescribed dimensions.

“We are very honored to be the first mall establishment in the City of Olongapo to have been granted the Safety Seal. This validates SM’s commitment in keeping its stakeholders safe amid the COVID-19 dilemma. SM Supermalls continues to implement strict safety protocols for the safety and well-being of the customers,” said SM City Olongapo Central Asst. Mall Manager Engr. Ariel Ferrer.

Present during the awarding ceremonies were Mayor Len J Paulino, Olongapo City BPLO Head Sandra Ecalnir, Olongapo City Tourism Head Fifi Legaspi together with SM North 3 Regional Operations Manager Engr.
