The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has allotted 40,000 scholarship slots for Central Luzon.
This was announced by TESDA Secretary Guiling Mamondiong during the Regional Consultation and Dialogue attended by representatives from Technical Vocational Institutions, industries, and local government units.
“Through TESDA, underprivileged individuals can acquire the skills necessary for their employment,” Mamondiong stressed.
The scholarship grant is in line with the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte in increasing employment opportunities for Filipinos and at the same time achieving a drug-free Philippines.
Mamondiong likewise reiterated that there is no area rejection and everyone is welcome to avail the scholarship.
“All you have to do is to comply with the certain requirements,” he noted.
The awarding of scholarships will start this November.
