A husband, who tried to rescue his live in partner who was washed away by a strong wave while trying to take her selfie, died of drowning on Saturday, along with his brother who also tried to save him.
The Aurora police identified the victims as Raymond Moyano and Marlon Ted, both Bgy. Ditawini , Dinalungan, Aurora
The police were told Raymond rescued his live-in partner Rowena Rouedas, who was caught by a strong wave while about to take a picture on rock formation.
However, Raymond was caught by the huge waves and washed away.
Another victim Marlon Ted, also tried to rescue Raymond but he also allegedly drowned.
In a seach operation, Ted’s brother Mark Anthony was able to recover the body of Raymond while the other victim is still missing.
The police and members of the Philippine Coast Guard are sting conducting search and retrieval operations to find the other victim.
