Lucita Antonio, owner of Zii Milk Tea and Café, said she studied the
milk tea making process in Taiwan. The milk tea industry reportedly
started in Taiwan in the 1980’s and spread to other countries,
including the Philippines.
“I carefully studied the making of milk tea in Taiwan and brought the
best tea leaves that pairs well with our drinks. It’s important to
have only the best tea leaves for our drinks,” said Antonio during the
opening of her new business last week.
Antonio said all the ingredients they use for their Milk Teas are
imported from Taiwan.
“Not just the tea leaves but everything, including the milk, comes
from Taiwan. It’s all authentic,” she said.
Tadz, who was one of the guests during the grand opening, said “their
milk tea taste unique.”
“It’s like your chewing something while drinking the Milk Tea,” added
Tadz, who tried the special Thai Tea flavor.
