Some 100 scholars of the Provincial Government have received educational cash benefits amounting to P300,000 recently.
Third District Board Member Rosve Henson who led the distribution of educational grants at the Benigno Hall, Capitol grounds, in the City of San Fernando, said the educational financial assistance was intended to augment the payment of tuition fees of the student-beneficiaries.
Henson urged the scholars to study well and maintain good grades to continuously avail of the scholarship benefits from the provincial government.
The board member reminded the scholars to focus on their studies and complete college education with flying colors to ensure a brighter future.
He also encouraged the students to help their parents and the people in their respective communities.
“Your college education will arm you with knowledge and skills which you can use wherever you go,” he added.
Jamie Rose Vigilla, 2nd year Business Administration student from St. Nicholas Academy has expressed his gratitude to Henson, Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, for their overwhelming support to thousands of scholars in the province.
Also present during the distribution of education assistance were Assistant Provincial Treasurer Susan Luna and Angie Gomez.
