11 ‘Akyat Bahay Gang’ members nabbed in Bulacan

Eleven suspected ‘Akyat Bahay/ Gapos Gang’ members were arrested in different joint operations conducted by operatives of City of San Jose del Monte PNP and Bulacan Highway Patrol Team on Tuesday.

Police Sr. Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP said the dragnet operation conducted by roving patrol team of San Jose Del Monte City Police led by Supt. Orlando Castil Jr. led to the arrest of the first three members identified as Gilbert Laxamana; John Jesus Laxamana and Leonard Barrios in Brgy. Maharlika Road and Robes 3 Subdivision at about 10:50 PM that served as lead to the arrest of the eight others notorious group members.

Based on the report sent to Region 3 Police Director Chief Supt. Napoleon Coronel, different follow-up joint operations of CSJDM PNP and Bulacan HPT were conducted at the previous secret hideout of the three arrested suspects in GK Silver Heights, Malaria, Caloocan City; Brgy Guijo, and Brgy Kaypian, CSJDM, Bulacan which resulted in the arrest of their co-members of the gang identified as Rose Ann Roa Sioson; Rachel Laxamana; Gemma Laxamana; Mike Adoy; Reginald Laxamana; Jerome Velasco; Ma. Buena Sedico and Marvin Patubo y Pandaan.

Recovered from their hideout in GK Silver Heights, Malaria, Caloocan City were one brown Toyota Vios with conduction sticker YT 09277; one Yamaha Mio Sporty with engine No. E31TE-0084685; while from the residence of Gilbert Laxamana in Brgy. Guijo, CSJDM were one shotgun without serial number; one white Toyota Hi-Ace with plate number RJJ 521; one Mio Sporty motorcycle; one Yamaha Sniper motorcycle; one Isuzu Raider motorcycle; one Nikon D7000 digital camera with 1 lens; assorted wristwatch, jewelries, four flat screen TV; and assorted pawn tickets, while from the residence of Leonard Barrios were one white Toyota Commuter Van with Conduction sticker number YP 7818; five pcs of 12 gauge ammunition for shotgun; three units of laptop; two flat screen TV; and four Vaults.

Bersaluna said, the suspects were involved in a series of robbery and carnapping in different cities/towns not only in Bulacan but also in other provinces as well. Appropriate criminal charges are being prepared against the arrested suspects.
