2 killed, 6 arrested in Bulacan drug encounter

Two armed drug pushers were killed, while six other drug suspects were apprehended in separate buy-bust operations conducted by Bulacan Police on early morning on Tuesday.

PSSupt. Chito Bersaluna, Acting Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP identified the slain suspect in City of San Jose del Monte as Alias Michael, other data unknown; while in Calumpit was identified as Ruel Barcelona, alias “Ruel”, single, a resident of Pulilan, Bulacan.

Based on the report from SJDM CPS, said that an armed encounter ensued in La Poblacion, Bgry. Muzon, CSJDM on Tuesday around 3:20 AM, when Alias Michael sensed the ongoing police operations.

Supt. Fitz Macariola, police chief of SJDM CPS, the suspect attempted to escape while onboard a motorcycle and fired towards the police operatives leaving them no choice but to retaliate, SJDM Police requested rescue for medical treatment but the suspect was pronounced dead.

Recovered from the crime scene are: eight pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachetsof suspected “shabu”; one Cal. 45. loaded with live ammunition; and spent shells. Appropriate criminal complaint is now being prepared to be filed against the suspect.

Meanwhile, a certain Ruel Barcelona was neutralized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the joint elements of Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB)/Provincial Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) and Calumpit Police Station in Brgy. Pungo, Calumpit, Bulacan on Tuesday at 2:00AM.

PIB chief Supt. Marlon Santos said, after the consummated drug deal, suspect “Ruel” sensed the ongoing operation and fired towards the police operatives prompting them to retaliate which resulted in the suspect’s death.

Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operatives process the crime scene and recovered the following: three pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu”; one stainless Smith and Wesson Caliber .38.

Bersaluna added that six other drug suspects were arrested in different police operations conducted in the City/Municipalities of San Jose del Monte, Hagonoy, Baliwag, Sta Maria, and Plaridel, wherein nineteen plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”, buy-bust money and drug paraphernalias were recovered.

The arrested suspects were identified as Alnor Bangon; Julius Dela Cruz; Crispin Samson; Reynan Dela Cruz; Gina Bugay and Christopher Galvez.

Appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are now being filed before the City/Provincial Prosecutors Office of Bulacan.
