30 Kadamay members cut ties with reds

CAMP OLIVAS — In support of President Rodrigo Duterte’s “whole-of-nation approach” in ending local communist armed conflict, 30 Kalipunan ng Damayang Panlipunan (Kadamay) members on Saturday withdrew their support to the communist group.

Bulacan police director Col. Lawrence Cajipe  said 30 “white area personalities” under Kadamay operating in the province of Bulacan at Eco Park, Bgy. Muzon, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, have returned to the fold of the law. The San Jose Del Monte and San Rafael police stations had facilitated the withdrawal of support.

The  rebel returnees were brought to the Ecopark, Bgy. Muzon, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan in the headquarters of the 301st MC, RMFB3, 1st Platoon for tactical interview.

Cajipe said the Central Luzon police together with the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) and other concerned agencies will remain committed to ensuring law and order in the region.
