TARLAC CITY — Around 43,500 elementary students from 88 public schools recently received free school bags with complete school supplies from the city government.
Mayor Cristy Angeles said this project is one of the goals of the local government that would benefit the elementary students, parents who are experiencing difficulties when it comes to educational materials provision.
“This program is not just for the students but also for the whole city and we are very grateful to all those who helped to make this possible,” Angeles stressed.
She urged the students to study hard so that they will be able to serve the community in the near future.
Aside from the distribution of free school supplies, Angeles made a promise to the teachers to receive monthly allowance from the local school board fund. (CLJD/CJVF-PIA 3 with Jenella San Juan- intern)
