• P3.4 million worth of shabu seized
Two big-time drug pushers were arrested during a buy-bust operation in a fast food chain in Cavite on January 14, 2020 that also resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, worth Php3,400,000.00
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the suspects as Leobeth Abaňo y Tulibao, and Augusto Diesmo y Makalando, who were arrested by joint elements of PDEA Regional Office IV-A (PDEA RO IV-A) under the supervision of IAV Melvin S. Estoque, Officer-in-Charge, PDEA NCR, PDEA SES, and PDEA BARMM in a fast food chain inside a mall in Sampaloc Uno, Dasmariňas City, Cavite.
Confiscated during the operation were two pieces of knot-tied transparent ice plastic containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less 500 grams, with an estimated value of Php3,400,000.00, two mobile phones, and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
