CONCEPCION, Tarlac (PIA) — Concepcion conducted today Municipal Sanitation Day after 6 out of 45 persons contact traced from the town’s first coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case tested positive in the rapid test.
All establishments were closed except for hospitals and pharmacies.
Mayor Andy Lacson clarified the order was not made to cause panic among the people but to strengthen precautionary measures.
“There is no need to panic because I reiterate to everyone that after testing positive in rapid test kits, swab testing should be done to confirm COVID-19 case, but we cannot risk waiting for swab test results before we do something in our municipality,” Lacson added.
All quarantine passes were also declared cancelled for today except for the frontline workers.
