MANILA, Philippines – Former Pampanga 2nd District Representative Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo, son of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, recently underwent a thyroidectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the thyroid gland.
In a Facebook post, Arroyo shared that the operation lasted five hours and expressed gratitude to his family and friends for their prayers.
“I’m posting this not only to thank my family and close friends for their prayers, but also to ask others not to ask favors first for at least [a] week to allow me to heal faster,” he wrote.
