Bataan LGUs Pass DILG’s Good Financial Housekeeping 2022

All local government units (LGUs) in Bataan have received recognition from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for their excellent financial management in 2022.

The Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) is a program aimed at evaluating the sound financial practices of LGUs, including budget execution, debt management, and revenue generation.

This year, all LGUs in Bataan, namely the Provincial Government, the local government units of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Balanga City, Pilar, Orion, Limay. Mariveles, Bagac and Morong, successfully passed the GFH, a testament to their commitment to good governance and financial responsibility.

The DILG praised the LGUs for their efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in the use of public funds, and for their ability to effectively manage their finances in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Bataan’s LGUs serve as a model for other provinces, and their achievement in the GFH serves as proof of their commitment to providing their constituents with quality services. The DILG encouraged other LGUs to follow the example set by Bataan and to strive for excellence in financial management.

The GFH is a key component of the DILG’s efforts to promote good governance at the local level, and the results of the 2022 evaluation are expected to have a positive impact on the delivery of basic services to the people of Bataan. The DILG looks forward to continued cooperation with the LGUs in Bataan as they work together towards a better and more prosperous future for all.
