Concepcion extends municipal sanitation, lockdown

CONCEPCION, Tarlac (PIA) — Concepcion extended its the municipal sanitation and lockdown for another 24 hours after five more persons tested positive in the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) rapid test.

Mayor Andy Lacson said hospitals and pharmacies will remain open while public markets, groceries, and other establishments will remain closed. 

Lacson also ordered sari-sari stores in the barangays to be opened.


Similar with the previous guidelines, only frontline workers will be allowed to go out and all quarantine passes remain cancelled.


“We will issue new, limited quarantine passes with dry seal for our frontline workers as we maintain strict quarantine,” Lacson added.


Currently, more than 300 persons have been tested for COVID-19 using rapid test kits including five persons who tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total of COVID-19 positive with rapid test kits to 11.


Lacson said the 11 who tested positive for COVID-19 in rapid test kits are all asymptomatic. They will be brought to Tarlac Provincial Hospital for swab testing to confirm COVID-19 results.


Finally, Lacson expressed his appreciation for the residents’ strict compliance in today’s municipal sanitation.


“I am grateful for the discipline everyone has shown in today’s municipal sanitation, may we continue to comply to beat COVID-19,” Lacson said.
