CSF Police conduct ‘Oplan Galugad’ vs illegal activities

The City of San Fernando Police Station (CSFPS) has called on barangay officials and their constituents to continue working with the police in combating illegal activities.

Police Lieutenant Colonel John Clark, CSFPS Chief, reiterated this call as his team conducted anew “Oplan Galugad” where another set of violators were apprehended through the assistance of the local government unit (LGU) in barangay and city levels.

Clark said the success of every operation is an outcome of his team’s objective that everyone has an important role in maintaining peace and order situation in the city.

“Ang bawat barangay at ang bawat indibidwal ay parte ng public safety. Sa mga ganitong uri ng aktibidad, kailangan ay maging parte sila dahil kung sama-sama, mapapanatili natin yung kapayapaan sa Siyudad,” he explained.

He added the operation is not only performed by the police, but always involves the work of the local government units in barangay and city levels – from planning to execution stage.

“Ang proseso ng ating mga operasyon, kapag may namo-monitor tayong mga involved sa illegal activities, ‘yan po ay ating pinagpaplanuhan bago tayo magtungo sa execution,” he explained.

In its recent operation on May 15, 2021 in Barangay Del Pilar, eight individuals were apprehended for violating community quarantine protocols while five were nabbed for illegal drug activities.

Another suspect was caught by the authority for “motornapping” while eight unregistered motorcycles were confiscated.

These numbers add up to nearly a thousand operations and individuals arrested by the CSFPS from January to April 2021, making it the top performing station among the cities in Central Luzon for the first four consecutive months of 2021.
