DTI allocates PhP 6-M aid for MSMEs in Aurora

BALER, Aurora — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) allocated PhP 6 million worth of assistance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Aurora that were affected by recent tropical disturbances.

Under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program, an initial PhP 2 million was released this December for the procurement of livelihood kits to be distributed to MSMEs.

“MSMEs were really affected by the typhoons that recently battered Aurora and other parts of Luzon. These negosyo kits will help them to restart their businesses,” DTI Regional Director Judith Angeles said.

An additional of PhP 4 million will be given early next year to help more MSMEs from the different towns to start anew.

“All beneficiaries will undergo a seminar on entrepreneurship before the distribution of livelihood grants to ensure the sustainability and development of the negosyo kits,” she added.

PPG program is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program aimed at providing assistance to micro enterprises affected by fire incidents, calamities and health disasters.
