IT game firm holds health missions in Bataan freeport

MARIVELES, Bataan — The Grand Innovasia Concept Corp. (GICC) recently conducted a series of medical missions to residents of Mariveles town and to workers of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).

GICC, in collaboration with the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), held the medical and dental missions as part of its corporate social responsibility program which ensures that the residents and workers of FAB are not just well-trained and equipped but also healthy.

A games and amusement center which houses call center firms, GICC has already donated a total of Php1.8 million for medical missions.

AFAB Chairman Emmanuel D. Pineda praised the initiatives of GICC to sponsor health missions in the town every quarter of the year. In 2016, it also conducted the same program in the towns of Hermosa and Dinalupihan.

Pineda said that the GICC has helped AFAB in ensuring that the labor force as well as the community in Mariveles is provided with easy access to medical services.

GICC also supports the establishment of health infrastructures in the town such as the construction of health center in Brgy. Baseco and the Bataan Drug Rehabilitation Center.

FAB is the emerging fashion manufacturing hub of the Philippines that produces high-end brands of garments, apparel, shoes and accessories, like bags, jewelries, among others. It envisions to be the Freeport of choice in the country by 2020, becoming a center of trade, innovation and sustainable development in Asia and promoting work-life balance, global competitiveness and environmental protection.
