DINALUPIHAN, BATAAN – Local officials here led by Mayor Maria Angela “Gila” Garcia on Wednesday inaugurated the new buildings at the back of the municipal hall that will serve in multi-functional activities of the local government and other concerned sectors.
In her first press briefing with the local press for the year 2017, Mayor Garcia said that the provincial government led by Governor Albert Raymond Garcia funded the project.
“First we have here the Bulwagan ng Bayan, air conditioned with 500 person capacity, community rehabilitation center, senior citizens’ office and barangay health station of Barangay San Ramon,” Garcia told i-Orbit News.
The event was attended by other local officials including Vice Mayor Renato Matawaran and the municipal council members, officials of national government agencies, the media and noted businessmen and investors led by former Consul Eduardo “Don Eddie” De Guzman.
The inauguration coincided with the post Valentine’s dinner hosted by the LGU Dinalupihan with Governor Abet Garcia as special guest and speaker. The dinner also served as the venue to honor and recognize the top 100 businesses in this town and the top 100 real property taxpayers.
Under Mayor Gila Garcia’s administration as the town’s chief executive, businesses here continues to flourish with a lot of known business establishments building and expanding their branches here.
“Natutuwa po tayo sa tiwala ng ating mga negosyante sa buong administrasyon mula po Pangulo hanggang sa mga barangay. At syempre kung wala po ang ating mga negsosyante, hindi po lalaganap yung ekonomiya ng ating bayan,” Garcia said. –Mhike R. Cigaral
