Lazatin reaffirms support for health workers, frontliners

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr will continue to prioritize programs to address the needs of the city’s health workers and frontliners.

During the start of the community quarantine, Lazatin immediately provided temporary housing for health workers requesting the Hotel and Restaurants Association in Pampanga (HARP) to use their members’ establishments as temporary housing.

Lazatin also ordered the immediate computation and release of hazard pay for health workers and frontliners physically reporting for work.

42 health workers assigned in the COVID-19 wards at the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) are being swabbed regularly to ensure their health and safety while facing the danger of COVID-19.

Recently, he also ordered the Local Finance Committee to compute and release the Special Risk Allowance of health workers extracting COVID-19 patients.

Since the city is experiencing a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases, modular isolation tents have been installed at the RLMMC and City College of Angeles — the assigned quarantine facility of the city — to accommodate the growing number of COVID-19 cases.

Following the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Civil Service Commission, Mayor Lazatin recognized the hard work of city’s health workers and frontliners amid the pandemic.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyong dedikasyon at serbisyo para sa pamilya, para sa kapwa at para sa Bayan,” Lazatin said.
