PAL unveils Domestic Comfort Class

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines has rebranded its former domestic premium economy service to Comfort Class, effective September 15, 2022.

The renamed Comfort Class will now be offered on all domestic flights operated by the airline’s Airbus A330 Bi-class, Airbus A321ceo, Airbus A320 and De Havilland DHC-8-400 Next Generation aircraft.

Passengers flying on Comfort Class will enjoy a more comfortable and convenient flight experience. On the ground, they will have priority check-in and boarding, a 25kg Free Baggage Allowance for checked-in baggage, and 100% mileage accrual for Mabuhay Miles members.

Onboard their PAL flight, Comfort Class passengers will be able to partake of hot sandwiches and a choice of drinks. Their Comfort Class seats give them more personal space and legroom with a pitch of up to 34”, and are located closer to the front of the aircraft for faster boarding and deplaning.

Comfort Class retains all the privileges and amenities that were previously offered under the former premium economy domestic product.

“At Philippine Airlines, we are glad to offer customers a choice of cabin service options,” said PAL Vice President for Marketing Ria Carrion-Domingo.  “We will continue to look for ways to enhance the overall travel experience of our passengers, on the ground and in the air, as the Philippines’ full-service network airline.”

In addition to the newly rebranded Comfort Class, travelers on PAL domestic flights will have the option of flying on Business Class (on selected routes served by A321 and A330 aircraft), as well as PAL’s mainline Economy Class (all aircraft).

On international flights, PAL will continue to offer a full Premium Economy service on its Airbus A350 and A330 tri-class aircraft, featuring a separate private cabin and specially designed wider seats equipped with personal video entertainment screens, legrests and extra recline, along with a seat pitch of 38 inches.
