BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Serving Filipinos was the most important gift President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. chose to mark his 69th birthday, as government services reached more communities in Aurora.
This was according to Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Ramon Ilagan, who represented the Chief Executive during the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” held at the Provincial Capitol Grounds in Baler.
He said the caravan brought various government services closer to residents, including assistance for overseas Filipino workers, health care, and land distribution to beneficiaries.
Ilagan urged Aurora residents to take advantage of the services offered to help their families access assistance, employment opportunities, and other forms of government support.
The one-day caravan brought together national government agencies that provided medical and health services, livelihood assistance, employment facilitation, agricultural inputs, legal aid, digital skills training, and social welfare programs.
Participating agencies include the Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agrarian Reform, Philippine Statistics Authority, National Bureau of Investigation, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Migrant Workers.
Ilagan said the administration will continue delivering programs and services to Filipinos until President Marcos’ term ends in 2028, bringing government support and opportunities to more communities.
Meanwhile, Aurora Governor Isidro Galban said the initiative reflected the President’s vision of a united nation under Bagong Pilipinas, where government services are made more accessible to citizens.
He said the program demonstrated the administration’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Filipinos through concrete services that address their daily needs.
Galban also expressed gratitude to President Marcos for his continued efforts to address the country’s challenges and improve the lives of ordinary Filipinos through responsive governance.
Among the beneficiaries was 42-year-old Jonalyn Estabello Poche of Barangay Calabuanan in Baler, who said the free medicines she received during the program provided important support for her health.
She said the assistance was especially helpful because she regularly takes maintenance medication.
Poche thanked President Marcos for continuing to bring health programs and other government services closer to communities, making assistance more accessible to people who need them most.
The activity brought government agencies and residents together in one venue, making it easier for families to seek support based on their needs and connect with available programs.
