Romero lauds Lazatin for prioritizing education, health

ANGELES CITY – Businessman and philanthropist Dr. Reghis M. Romero II praised Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin for prioritizing health and education.

“Angeles is a rapidly growing city. We need to educate well our people in order to keep pace with the development. Mayor Lazatin is right in prioritizing education,” said Romero, who is a native of Angeles City.

Romero said Lazatin should give more attention to the public elementary and high school levels aside from improving the City College of Angeles. Lazatin vowed to infuse more funds and add more classrooms at CCA.

Romero also said Lazatin should “indeed focus” on health.

“Where will they bring the people when they are sick? Mayor Lazatin should really improve health services,” said Romero. Lazatin vowed to improve the services and facilities at the Ospital Ng Angeles (ONA).

Lazatin reappointed businessman and philanthropist Dr. Reghis M. Romero II as member of the board of the CCA.

Lazatin personally conveyed the message to Romero that he will be retained as CCA board member during their meeting at the mayor’s office on Friday.

Romero represents the private sector in the CCA board.
