Suspected drug pusher killed in Bataan encounter

LIMAY, Bataan – Combined forces of Limay PNP, Provincial Intelligence Branch and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG Bataan) conducted an anti-illegal drug operation, Friday morning.

Police Chief Inspector Rex Perucho, CIDG Bataan chief, said the operation resulted to the death of the suspect named Jerry Taneda, legal age and a native of Olongapo City.

Taneda, according to police records, was allegedly involved in series robbery and hold-up incidents, gun running and drug trade activities.

Police recovered 10 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as β€œshabu,” Caliber 45 pistol and its magazine, and the marked money used in the operation.

The suspect’s body as of press time is at the custody of a local funeral homes in this municipality.
