CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan – The Drug Enforcement Unit of San Jose del Monte City arrested two drug peddlers and four users while they were sniffing shabu inside a suspected dope den in Bgy. Gaya-gaya here at around 8:30 pm on Thursday.
In a report to Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., SJDM City police chief Supt. Fitz Macariola identified the arrested drug pushers as Edgar Ravas, 38, married and Oliver Sta. Rita, 36,married, both residents of Bgy. Gaya-gaya.
Macariola said the city’s DEU has been monitoring the house of Ravas after receiving information that it was being used as a dope den where scorers of shabu buys the illegal stuff and used it there.
He said police undercover agents arrested Ravas and Sta. Rita after selling a sachet of shabu inside the dope den where four scorers who were identified as Princess Rose Sta. Rita, 33, married; Ryan Fernandez 33, single, Albert Dumayan, 31, single and Esteven Quiambao, 37, single, all residents of said barangay, were caught having a shabu session.
When frisked, both Ravas and Sta. Rita yielded a total of 11 more sachets of shabu weighing 6.5 grams. Police also recovered an open plastic sachet still containing suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
Macariola said charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against them. –EMIL G. GAMOS
