Village chief shot dead in Bulacan

A village chief was shot dead infront of the Barangay Hall by an unidentified armed suspect while having conversation with barangay workers in Barangay San Rafael II, City of San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan on Friday night.

Initial report sent by P/Supt. Fitz Macariola, city chief of police of CSJDM police to Bulacan PNP acting director Sr. Supt. Chito Bersaluna, the victim was identified as Deogracias Milallos, 58, male, Brgy Chairman of Barangay San Rafael II and presently residing at Blk 2, Brgy. San Rafael II, CSJDM Bulacan

Police said, the victim was infront of Brgy hall, when he was shot by an unidentified armed suspect. He sustained several gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and rushed to the nearest hospital but pronounced dead later.

It was learned the victim was having conversation with three other barangay officials identified as Edelito De Mesa a barangay kagawad Ricardo De Castro, chief tanod and Elmerito Atanacio, barangay investigator.

The last village chief killed was Genaro Lopez, barangay chief of Labne, San Miguel, Bulacan. He was shot dead on May 25 by a motorcycle riding in tandem infront of a restaurant in Barangay Mojon, City of Malolos.

Barangay Chairman Rodrigo Rodriguez of Barangay Mabalasbalas an incumbent village chief was also killed in broad daylight on April 26 by a riding in tandem suspects.
