17,728 medical frontliners in Bulacan receive first COVID-19 vax jabs

MALOLOS CITY — A total of 17,728 medical frontline workers in Bulacan have already received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

This is 85.03 percent of the total allocation of the first dose for government and private sector healthcare workers.

“A total of 20,849 doses of vaccine have been received by the provincial government from Department of Health and all were distributed to health facilities,” Governor Daniel Fernando disclosed.

As the provincial government follows the approved prioritization framework of the National COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment Plan, Fernando assured his constituents that they are doing their best to ensure that everyone will be vaccinated against the deadly disease.

“Just when vaccination against COVID-19 finally started in Bulacan, new variant came and we cannot be complacent. We are happy that slowly our healthcare workers get their first dose of vaccine and with the help of the Lord, all Bulakenyos will be vaccinated,” Fernando said.

Amid the surge of cases in the province, he appealed to his constituents to observe the minimum public health standards including regularly washing of hands, wearing of facemasks and face shields, and observing physical distancing.
