Bataan bags PCCI’s Most Business Friendly LGU (provincial category) award

BALANGA CITY – The Provincial Government of Bataan led by Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia on Thursday received the Most Business-Friendly LGU Award (Provincial Catergory) from President Rodrigo R. Duterte during the 44th Philippine Business Conference and Expo held at the Manila Hotel.

This year’s conference focuses on the theme, ‘Infrastructure and Digital Economy: The Game Changers’. Spearheaded by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the conference centers on different ways of sustaining investments in infrastructure and leverage amidst the so-called ‘digital economy.’

It also serves as a platform for the government and the private sectors to navigate opportunities and potentials in these trends for a sustainable economic growth.

The PCCI leads this annual search for the Most Business-Friendly LGU Award to commend local government units that have become successful in creating an environment that is conducive to business.

The initiative is aimed at complementing the efforts of the government to institutionalize standards in delivering quality services to the people as mandated by the Republic Act 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
