DOST invites Tarlac MSMEs to avail tech innovation, enabling fund

TARLAC CITY — Department of Science and Technology (DOST) invites Tarlac micro, small and medium enterprises to avail of its Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program Innovation-Enabling Fund (SETUP iFund).

It is open to those who seek to upgrade their technology in production or manufacturing process.

“We received good news that SETUP iFund has increased its maximum approval from three million to five million in the regional level, so we encourage our MSMEs to avail of this program,” DOST Provincial Director Karen Dañez said.

It has no collateral, no interest with six months grace period and payable within three years.

Meanwhile, DOST also provides free consultations and trainings in manufacturing productivity management, agriculture productivity management, food safety consultancy, facility audit, and energy management among others.

“We assist enterprises engaged in food manufacturing to food safety standards and eventually get their Food and Drug Administration certification or other certifications related to food business,” she said.

For energy management, DOST hire experts to provide consultancy on ways to save energy consumption cost for their production.

Interested MSMEs may visit DOST Provincial Office which is located inside the main campus of Tarlac State University.

They can also inquire through their Facebook page www.facebook.com/dost3tarlac and mobile number 0919-256-3910.
