Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the concreting of a 542.6-linear meter section of a local road at barangay Maite in Hermosa, Bataan.
The P4.9 million road improvement project was implemented by DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineering Office.
District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. said this is in support to small farmers and agricultural businesses as it gives them safer and better access to local markets.
“Barangay Maite is an area of high agricultural productivity, however, there still remains a need to improve rural road facilities that play a key role in improving agricultural production and farmer’s income,” Flores furthered.
The official added that this is just one of the road improvement projects of DPWH that is seen to improve rural-urban interconnections specifically in the province of Bataan. (CLJD-PIA 3)
