TARLAC CITY — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conferred its Suking Tindahan Seal to MCPC Store in the capital city as the first recipient in Tarlac.
“We are awarding the Suking Tindahan Seal to major sari-sari stores selling at least 50 percent of basic commodities and 50 percent of prime commodities under our jurisdiction,” DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez said.
“We want to recognize our existing wholesalers or major sari-sari stores and cooperative stores that commit to sell basic necessities and prime commodities within or lower than the Suggested Retail Price on a voluntary basis which will benefit the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and the common consumers, particularly the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries,” Ramirez added.
The program is aligned with the Duterte administration’s thrust to improve consumer welfare.
