Meralco-Bulakan launch ‘Energizing Partnership’

A Memorandum Of Understanding was signed between the local government of Bulakan, Bulacan and Meralco held at the Municipal Hall’s conference room on Monday.

Meralco and Municipality of Bulakan signed the MOU dubbed as “Meralco-Bulakan Energizing Partnership” where the said electric company will be the major partner of the local government here in most of the municipal major projects.

Mayor Patrick Meneses thanked the representatives of Meralco who joined the signing headed by Severino Alonzo Jr., Meralco Balagtas Business Center and Allen Costales, Local Government Affairs and Special Projects of Meralco Legal for the support given to their major projects.

Alonzo said their company was convinced to commit in such partnership because of the potentials and achievements of Bulakan town.

He cited one of the awards of the said municipality as Best Performing LGU in the Implementation of DILG Locally Funded Project and was recognized by the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Meneses Campus on Continued Support to Student Financial Assistance and Scholarship Program.

Meneses said that some of the major partnership projects were load upgrading of District Hospital in Bagumbayan Village, public schools. Rural Health Unit in Brgy San Jose, Multi Purpose Hall, Evacuation Center; installing of 20 units of CCTV cameras; public safety orientation,; disaster communication protocols and CSRO Projects.

It also includes future projects such as the international airport in Barangay Taliptip, additional buildings and classrooms, rehabilitation of public market, upgrading of provincial roads from Bambang to Bagumbayan vilages and Meralco Kiosk in celebration of town festival. ELOISA SILVERIO
