Voter registration for May 2019 polls resumes on July 2

Starting July 2 of this year, the Commission on Elections will open the registration for qualified voters in the 2019 national and local elections.

“It is the duty of the Commission to conduct regular voter registration in order to enfranchise and enlist qualified voters nationwide with the exception of Marawi City in Lanao del Sur in light of the current situation in the area,” Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez said.

Application for registration, transfer, reactivation, change and correction of entry are to be filed personally at the Comelec office where the applicant resides from Monday to Friday, 8a.m. to 5p.m., including holidays.

Comelec is set to put up satellite registrations in barangays, plazas, schools and other public places giving due priority to indigenous peoples, senior citizens, persons with disability and pregnant women.

Voter listing is until September 29, 2018.
