Department of Education (DepEd) External Partnerships Service Director Margarita Ballesteros receives around 1.5 million pieces of pencils from the Philippine National Police (PNP), represented by their Anti-violence Against Women and Children Division Chief Police Superintendent Angela Rehano. The donation is in line with the ‘One Million Lapis Campaign’ spearheaded by the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC). The campaign aims to collect pencils to be given to underprivileged children in elementary schools of 4th to 6th class municipalities of the country.
