Pampanga Capitol donates lot for OFW Hospital and Diagnostic Center

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Provincial Government of Pampanga donated two hectares of land for the country’s first government funded OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) Hospital and Diagnostic Center.

The facility will rise at the Provincial Engineering Office Compound in barangay Sindalan, City of San Fernando.

“The assessed value of this land is about PhP500 million which will be given for free for the benefit of our OFWs,” Governor Lilia G. Pineda said during Wednesday’s Groundbreaking Ceremony.

Pineda revealed that Bloomberry Foundation will shoulder the construction cost of the hospital amounting to PhP400 million while the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation committed medical equipment worth PhP200 million.

She assured attending OFW groups from different provinces that they shouldn’t feel neglected as the government is doing its best for the welfare of OFWs.

“You are all loved by the government, President Duterte loves you. Department of Labor and Employment, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Department of Health loves you, and of course, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation is always with you,” the local chief executive added.
