Sen. Lapid to fund Angeles-Porac flyover, AC Sports Complex

ANGELES CITY – Senator Lito Lapid will provide funding for the construction of the Angeles-Porac flyover and the Angeles City Sports Complex.

Lapid said the volume of traffic in Barangay Cutcut particularly the intersection near the Holy Family Academy necessitated the need for a flyover to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Lapid said the flow of traffic will improve in the intersection that connects Porac town to Angeles City and the City of San Fernando to Friendship Circumferential Road all the way to the Clark Freeport Zone.

Residents of Angeles City and Porac town will also benefit from the proposed flyover while passengers of the Clark International Airport that will come from these areas can easily access the airport.

Lapid made the announcement during the opening of the Fortunegate Casino inside the Clark Freeport. Lapid hails from Porac town.

The senator has also said that he will provide funds for the construction of the Angeles Sports Complex. This after the city government of Angeles City stopped the proposed construction of the new city hall building and the sports complex eyeing the construction of more classrooms at the City College of Angeles (CCA) and the construction of additional buildings at the Ospital ning Angeles (ONA).

He asked the Angeles City Council and the Sangguniang Bayan of Porac to come out with a joint resolution for the said two major projects.
